Workshop for high school students

On May 12, 2023 (Friday) at 12.00 a.m. (Warsaw time) we will have an opportunity to conduct workshop for a group of students from the High School no 2 in Poznań. Hope they will like the programme we have prepared for their visit.

Children to visit the IPG PAS

We are pleased to inform that on April 28, 2023 (Friday) at 9.00 a.m. (Warsaw time) we will host a group of children from the Primary School no 69 in Poznań. We will do our best to make their short stay at our institute unforgettable.

Lecture: Nanotechnology scope and application in plants (2)

As part of the EU funded NANOPLANT project (GA 856961) lecture series for PhD students, the third part under the title “Nanotechnology scope and application in plants” will take place on December 8, 2022 at 9.00 a.m. (Warsaw). The lecture will be given by Dr. Leonard Kiirika (Senior Researcher, NANOPLANT) and it will briefly cover: (i) mechanisms during plant-nanomaterials-microbe interactions; (ii) methods in nano-biotechnology (iii) practical session in plant nanotechnology laboratory.

Training: operation and use of spectrophotometer

We invite you to take part in a training program in the field of operation and use of circular dichroism (CD) spectrophotometer, which will be conducted on December 7, 2022, 9.00-11.30 a.m. A representative of ABL&E-Jasco Polska Company will demonstrate the device at NANOPLANT lab, IPG PAS..

Lecture: Nanotechnology scope and application in plants

As part of the NANOPLANT lecture series for PhD students, the second talk under the title “Nanotechnology scope and application in plants” is slated for November 29, 2022, 9.0 a.m. The lecture will be given by Dr. Leonard Kiirika (Senior Researcher, NANOPLANT). It will briefly cover (i) application of nanotechnology for improvement of horticultural crops; (ii) uptake and translocation of nanomaterials during plant growth; (iii) mechanisms underlying the plant-nanomaterials interactions and (iv) utilization of nano-based probes for plant monitoring.

Nanomaterials: synthesis and task-specific applications

On November 17, 2022 the first lecture for PhD students will be given by Dr. Dibyendu Mondal, ERA Chair holder, NANOPLANT. Presentations on plant nanotechnology will be also made by other team memebers in the near future.

Second project review meeting

On November 15, 2022 the second project review meeting will be held via ZOOM. We hope it will be successful for NANOPLANT.

International Advisory Board meeting

On September 22-23, 2022 the meeting will be held at the IPG PAS in a hybrid mode. All NANOPLANT team members will attend (in person or virtually). Prof. Eva Cellarova (Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice) will also visit our laboratories and facilities.

Seminar: Analysis of nanoparticles in plants

On July 13, 2022 in the conference room of IPG PAS a seminar entitled “Analysis of nanoparticles in plants” will be led by Dr Adam Sajnóg from the Adam Mickieiwcz University.

Presentation: Application of spectrometer in nanotechnology

On July 8, 2022 a representative of LABSOFT Company will give a talk and demonstrate the use of spectrometer in nanotechnology, especially in plant science. All of you interested in an elemental analysis are welcomed in the conference room of the IPG PAS at 10.30 a.m.

Workshop: Introduction to Nanoplant

On July 7, 2022 the Department of Plant Nanotechnology will host a workshop as a way of introduction to NANOPLANT in the conference room of the IPG PAS. All who wish to participate will learn more about the structure of the department, ongoing research projects. There will also be a chance to visit our laboratory and greenhouse facilities.

Research trip to the Baltic Sea for seaweed collection

On June 30, 2022 the members of NANOPLANT team will go to the Baltic Sea to collect algae samples. 

Lecture at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (Poland)

On May 13, 2022 the Era Chair Dr Dibyendu Mondal will give a talk at the Adam Mickiewicz Univeristy entitled: “Designing protein nano-construct: An alternative strategy to improve stability and activity against environmental stress”. 

Research visit to Aveiro, Portugal

On May 3, 2022 the Era Chair Dr Dibyendu Mondal will represent the Department of Plant Nanotechnology, IPG PAS during his visit to the University of Aveiro in Portugal. Dr Mondal was invited to give a talk entitled: “A Journey from Chemical Science to NANOPLANT: The Learning Curve”

4th Edition of World Nanotechnology Conference

The ERA Chair of NANOPLANT Project Dr Dibyendu Mondal will give a talk during World Nanotechnology Conference to be held on April, 25-27, 2022. This will be a great opportunity to take part in a forum where scientists from all over the world discuss and exchange their latest research effects in the field of nanotechnology.

Seminar: Electron microscopy

On April 13, 2022 we invite you to participate in a seminar which will be held in the conference room of the IPG PAS. The meeting will be led by Mr Lukasz Remez from the PIK Instruments company. You could get acquainted with modern solutions in the field of preparation of microscopic samples.

Particle size analyzer workshop
